Max Rouch is a project design lead. They manage workflows for the design team and draft engineering plan sets for clients in AutoCAD. Max specializes in optimizing the design process, developing templates, creating automations, and building databases. They enjoy the challenge of identifying inefficiencies and developing solutions for the team.

Max holds a BA in Studio Art with a minor in Physics from Texas State University. This background in visual design and technical logic serves as a foundation for their drafting skills. Max joined SunSmart in October 2025, bringing over five years of experience in the residential solar industry. They have since expanded their focus to include commercial solar projects, as well as pool and solar-thermal systems.

Max views renewable energy as the most practical solution to growing energy demands and sees the transition to solar as a necessary step for modern infrastructure. They are particularly interested in the transition to commercial-scale solar and the increased technical complexity of larger installations.

Based in San Marcos, Texas, Max is a musician and performer outside of work. They play drums and sing in a band, and periodically participate in community theatre.
